My Research:
I am interested in understanding how and why animals evolve their particular behaviors or phenotypes and how they interact in nature. I am interested in predicting how animals ought to use information about predation and other stressors to adjust their phenotype, and then empirically test those predictions. I am also interested in understanding how phenotypic plasticity affects species interactions and community structure, especially around predator-prey interactions.
